On Thursday night we met up at the Key Arena to enjoy a Keith Urban concert. Nathan made his way via train from work, walking the last mile from the final train stop to the arena. With a concert start time of 7:30 PM I felt that a 6 PM departure would leave more than enough time to make the 15 mile drive from the house. Perhaps I should have left off the "more than enough" as I rolled into my seat next to a long waiting Nathan by 7:35 PM or so.
I had seen Keith perform at the CMA music festival in Nashville one sweltering hot summer night a couple years ago but still wanted to attend one of his concerts. Awesome is all I can say! He is such a talented artist, involves the audience in a way I have not seen before and makes himself so accessible by performing not only from the front stage but also from the middle of the floor and up in the stands. He even gave away a signed guitar to a very excited concert-goer!

Our second big activity of the week took place on Sunday afternoon. We attended our first Seahawks game of the season against the Atlanta Falcons. I figured there was no way we could lose considering Nathan was sporting a Falcon hat and me in a Seahawks sweatshirt. Either way as a couple we'd walk away winners!
The weather was perfect for a game: clouds, sun breaks, no rain and fall temps in the 60s.

The second half proved to be the most exciting part of the game. The Seahawks put up a fight and barely lost 30-28 when their field goal kick fell short of the goal posts in the final minute or so of the game.
We had parked about 2 miles from the stadium at Nathan's work. We made it back to the car just before the real rain began to fall from the sky. What a great day!
Wow close loss!
